Stump Grinding FAQ's
What’s the difference between stump grinding and full stump removal?
Grinding shreds the stump below ground level but leaves roots to decompose naturally. Removal takes the entire stump and root ball out – usually more invasive and expensive. Grinding is perfect for most residential jobs.
Can you grind stumps in hard-to-reach areas?
Yes – we have narrow access machines that can get through gates and tight areas.
How deep do you grind the stumps?
We typically grind 150–300mm below ground, enough to re-turf or landscape over.
Do I need to be home for stump grinding?
Not always – as long as we have access and know what to grind, we can get it done safely.
